Building Trust in FinTech & Crypto

CHALLENGE
A FinTech fund specialising in cryptocurrency struggled to gain credibility. Despite having insights and content, scepticism in the market - fueled by lack of transparency - kept engagement low. The goal was to build trust, increase meaningful interaction, and convert sceptical visitors into clients.
APPROACH
We dug into quantitative and qualitative data to understand why people were hesitant. Then we brainstormed trust-building tools and content, prioritised by impact. We built an interactive investment‐calculator so users could see how hypothetical investments would grow. Alongside, we designed a transparent, data-driven landing page showing real fund performance to reinforce credibility.
OUTCOME
User interaction increased significantly: visitors spent more time on site, used the calculator, and were more likely to leave their details. The landing page became a lead generation tool. Overall, trust improved and more visitors converted into clients, shifting perception from scepticism to engagement.

Our Approach
1. Diagnosing the Trust Gap
In crypto and finance, perception is everything. For this client, vague messaging and a lack of interactive tools left users wary. Confidence in the product was undermined by too much hype and too little evidence.
2. Tools that Create Ownership
We designed an interactive calculator based on the “IKEA effect”, people value things more when they’ve built or engaged with them. By letting users explore what their investments could have returned, we created a sense of ownership and belief.
3. Radical Transparency
Alongside the calculator, we developed a performance landing page that showed real historical results. Numbers don’t lie, so users could see for themselves whether the fund was credible.
4. From Engagement to Conversion
The combination of interaction and transparency boosted engagement and lead capture. Trust was built not through words, but through evidence and experience.
